Last week I met with Jeanne Bertonis, Senior Advisor for Medical Devices, and Misha Tsirulnikov, VP of Development and Program Strategy of BayBio the trade association for northern California biotech companies.  I was there to learn the lay of the land for a client and to identify potential licensees for future intellectual property portfolios that my firm will be representing.

South San Francisco has become a node in the biotech world and that's why BayBio is based there, not to mention the view of the inner bay.  This regional association is gaining members from around the world as biotech leaders want to keep tabs on the high level of innovation and dealmaking in the region.
